Sotkon Portugal is testing a system that allows to charges municipal solid waste, following the principal of the polluter-payer - PAYT [Pay As You Throw], in one of the 330 ecological islands located in the city of Portimão, Faro district. >
The municipality of Vila Franca de Xira (near Lisbon) is a SOTKON customer since 2008, having nearly 200 underground containers already installed. At the end of 2014, were installed 22 more units, 10 of which for deposition of assorted waste and having been optimized with probes for filling level measurement. >
The SOTKON group was represented at POLLUTEC 2014, the 26th International Exhibition of Equipment, Technologies and Environmental Services. The SOTKON France and its local distributor presented some new features, like the new RFID access control as an option of Sotkis system, new underground container to the side collection and the new container "compact" of metal for collection by crane. >
Along with its distributor and with officials from the municipality of Cúcuta, the capital and most populous city of Colombia’s administrative division called Norte de Santander, SOTKON is developing a pilot project for the installation of ecological islands using underground containers for the collection of solid waste. >
